I was rear ended on 11/15/2007 while in Oregon visiting family. I called to report the accident and within minutes Mr. Jonathon P. Twining in your Mountain States. Regional Office arranged an appointment with a local collision repair shop and reserved a rental car for when I returned home. I have already talked with Mr. Twining’s supervisor to indicate how professional and competent he was.

I am writing now, however, because I thought you might like to know that the repair shop I was referred to, Hustead’s Collision Center, Berkeley, CA, was excellent. The work they did was so expert that I could not tell my car had been damaged and Mr. Jonathan Yi, who was in charge of arranging the repair, could not have been more accommodating. I simply wanted to say that from my experience, USAA can feel confident in referring others in my area to Hustead’s Collision Center.

I am writing to comment one of your employees-Tay (spelling?). Last week, I blew out a tire while on the freeway after dark one night. I called CHP, and they sent one of your trucks out. Tay arrived within the stated time, and was polite, helpful, and simply wonderful. He did not make me get out of the car. He showed great patience with the fact that my trunk was full of heavy items that he had to take out to get out the spare. He then helped me search my car for the key for my wheel locks, and then quickly and efficiently changed my tire and got me on my way home safe and sound. I offered him a tip for his great service, but he turned it down and said all I needed to do was write a letter telling you what a great job he did, if I wanted to. So here it is my thanks to him.

Dear Gale and Orlando;
On behalf of the Saint Mary’s College High School community, thank you for your participation in our Teen Safety Awareness assemblies for students and parents. The loan of the wrecked car emphasized the importance of driving safety to our young people during this season of celebrations.

Our junior/ Senior Prom was held on April 25 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. It was a memorable event for all. Our students had a great time, behaved well, and got home safely. We appreciate your efforts toward achieving this goal.

Dear Jonathan, Katrina, Ramon & all staff at Hustead’s,

Thank you so much for saving the day and donating the tow for our car from San Francisco to Berkeley. As an all volunteer organization, it takes a collective effort of volunteer mechanics like Art’s Automotive to keep our donated cars on the road to run our weekly food distributions, take our low-income members to volunteer doctors and lawyers and so much more!

We would love for you and your staff to visit our office at 1666 7th street in Oakland, open 7 days a week 9am – 9pm, so you can see for yourselves what your support is helping to make possible you are all also invited to come to our 33rd anniversary dinner celebration with art and over one hundred of our other volunteers, members and supporters it will be on Saturday, August 22nd at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church 525 29th st. Oakland.

We will have great food, entertainment and gifts for all who come to celebrate all we have accomplished in our 33 years and to thank all of the people like you who help to make our work possible.

I am also sending you a copy of our newsletter and sponsor’s guide so you can read more about the campaigns we are involved in and see all of the other wonderful local businesses like you that help us out. I also hope that you & your staff enjoy the treats.
